Building with biology

TriptoBIO applies cutting-edge synthetic biology techniques to produce classes of plant compounds known as di- and tetraterpenoids via fermentation. This will enable novel applications of plant compounds and revolutionize a range of industries, while avoiding intensive farming and the use of petrochemicals.

Our proprietary technology is based on groundbreaking research from the University of Copenhagen and allows us to sustainably produce unique, high-value diterpenoids from the plant Tripterygium wilfordii. Currently, these compounds are only accessible in tiny amounts by harvesting the plant.
